Wyke A earned their first win of the season with a brilliant display at Dalton. Charlie Smith was twice the hero after Jack Hewitt-Hill and Owen Khan were both thwarted. Cameron Balmforth saved the few shots against him as Lewis Evans and Connor Barran put in strong defensive performances. Nathan Aylott linked up well in midfield as Wyke kept their un-beaten record intact.

Wyke B went down bravely at Dalton and were unlucky not to snatch a point near the end. Cameron Balmforth scored their only goal but Matthew Brumfitt and Nathan Aylott were unlucky not to join him on the score sheet. Jack Hewitt-Hill was outstanding in goal, saving Wyke on numerous occasions while Travis Wardman excelled in defence. Jared Muff made some timely interceptions and Thomas Capstick was strong going forward. Lewis Stevenson was tenacious in midfield but Wyke were brought down to earth after last week’s impressive victory.
