Summary
Wyke lost to their recent nemesis, at Batley but not without giving it a good go. In an end-to-end game, Batley crept in to a two-goal lead but a fabulous goal from Owen narrowed the advantage whilst Batley gave their best player a one-minute break. Wyke poured on the pressure, looking for an equaliser but Batley scored again to finish their challenge off. Cameron was good in goal but hampered by a leg injury. Travis stood up to his challenge at the back whilst (MoM) Lewis swept busily. Jack tackled hard and Charlie was out of luck in front of goal. Connor covered lots of ground, linking with attack and defence. Nathan, Thomas and Liam provided able support in the second half but Wyke went home bewitched, with nothing to show for a good team effort.

Summary
Wyke took all the Halloween points in an even game at Batley that came to life in the last few minutes. Cameron provided the trick by scoring a brilliant headed goal from a corner that proved to be the winner when (MoM) Jack, providing the treat, sprang to save an extra time penalty. Jared was tenacious at the back and Travis cut out most Batley attacks. Cameron and Thomas were constant threats going forwards whilst Liam battled hard in midfield. Nathan had chances but no luck and Connor and Charlie played good cameo roles in the second half to help Wyke keep their first clean sheet of the season.
