This year will be a first for Wyke Wanderers, as we will be splitting the Presentation Evenings into 'Mini Soccer' and 'Junior'.

They will be held over two different nights in June.

The club committee made this decision after deciding that over the past few years there was too much overcrowding and noise, meaning Manager's could not be heard doing their presentation.

There has been a lack of interest from clubs due to several other tournaments happening on the same day.

The second draw of the League Cup hasthrown out some very interesting matches, especially for theremaining Wyke Teams.


The Under 10's A and B were both veryunlucky to go out in the first round, The A team lost 3-2 to DaltonDynamoes A, and the B team lost on penalties against Dewsbury RangersB after drawing the game 2-2.

The Under 10's A team have been drawn against Dalton Dynamoes A, who are 1 position behind Wyke, so it could be a very tight game. The U10's B team have been drawn against Dewsbury B, which could be a tough match as they lie 2nd in the G division.

The lucky winner of the 100 club this month is Number 10- Joe Walshe (Open Age Team)

Congratulations to him.

The draw was carried out on Monday 4th October.

Andy Pickersgill and John Lyons ensured a fair draw, and Mike Winnard drew the winning number.

Wyke Wanderers have started a 100 club.

Its a lottery based game, where a member of the club can purchase a number 1-100 from the club.

Numbers cost £2 per month (£14 for the year) and you can win £100 prize every month!

The draw will take place at each managers meeting.

So at last the new season is almost upon us!

Hopefully this season will be just as enjoyable and successful for all teams.
