Match Report 11.10.09
Wyke. A 6 v 1 Shelf. A
This was a good game to build on from last week, a second consecutive win for the A team, although they went behind to an early goal, an equilizer wasnt far away and once the goal went in the formalities followed with 3 goals in the first half and a further 3 goals in the seond half all but sealed the game. There was a hatrick from Bradley with some well struck shots with his left foot with the ball driven low and hard to the far corners of the goal. Attur second half 2 goals were well struck and another fine strike from Sam killed the game. Shelf had their moments and battled well, but against a well balanced Wyke team, who always had the upper hand,it was always going to be an uphill battle.
Well done boys, lets have more of the same next week.
Wyke. B 6 v 1 Shelf. B
Much of the same story for the B team, but Shelfs goal was more of a consolation rather than any comeback they could hope for. Some excellent play again from the Wyke u9s with a hatrick coming from Dylan, making him the overall leading goal scorer with some well taken goals. " goals from Ibby who is always a threat. Tom who did an excellent job in defence and midfield, scored his first goal for the team. Another excellent game, where both teams gave it their all, there was always going to be one winner, and that was Wyke. Looking the more potent and playing some good 1,2 passes, overall a good game and great result for both A and B teams.
Well done boys.
