Summary
A comfortable victory for Wyke that could have been a lot more but for an excellent home defence and some wayward shooting not helped by a strong wind and a last ten minute flood from the sky. Cameron should have brought his slippers and Gameboy because he only touched the ball twice from loose Howden through balls as the home side battled desperately to keep out a tide of Wyke attacks. Travis and Lewis were nearly as redundant at the back but coped easily with the odd break out. Connor and Danny worked tirelessly in midfield and were both unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Nathan too was unfortunate not to find the net but gave able support to hat trick boy Owen who battled hard for his goals. Although Wyke could have scored more goals, the main fact that they kept a clean sheet bodes well for the future of a strong and ever-bonding squad.
