Wyke faced a huge test today against a team unbeaten in two years. 3D Dynamos had beaten Wyke earlier on in the season with a comfortable 6-0 in Oldham. This time the visitors sealed an 8-4 win against Wyke.

3D Dynamos were instantly showing their strength, and Wyke were on the back foot from the start of the game. 3D Dynamos continued their attacking and domination and after 10 minutes had a three goal lead.

From then on things looked bleak for Wyke Wanderers, and although Joe Couble in goals had made some very good saves, the team were really struggling.

Michael Brooksbank gave Wyke a glimmer of hope, scoring to make the game 3-1.

3D added another couple of goals, and at half time Wyke were trailing 5-1.

Half Time- Wyke 1-5 3D Dynamos

Wyke started off the second half much the same as the first half, and too many throughballs were getting through. Joe Couble put in some more fantastic saves, but was helpless to avoid letting another two past him, meaning Wyke were now trailing by 7 goals to 1, with 12 minutes to go.

However, Wyke managed to perk up, and in all fairness the attacking players were rewarded for their continued efforts.

Jack Lamch broke through and slotted it past the keeper, and then Dominic Pickersgill fired a shot into the roof of the net from 20 yards. Wyke were trailing 8-3 now, however for ten minutes, the informidable force of 3D Dynamos found themselves on the back foot.

Connor Rhodes added a final goal in style, when his cross from 25 yards on the left managed to swing in over the keeper. A fantastic goal, even though he admitted it was a cross!

Final Score: 8-1

Man of the Match: Joe Couble. Our Keeper let 8 goals in but had a brilliant game, really in the first half, we could have let 15 in without Joe being on fine form. He was quick out to get onto loose balls, and pulled off some great saves.

Goals: Mikey Brooksbank, Jack Lamch, Dom Pickersgill, Connor Rhodes

Hey...the only team to put 4 past 3D this season!! Well done guys...We made some good attacking plays and caused our opposition a few problems today so well done Smile Its easy to say our defence didn't play well today, but I think we have to accept that 3D Dynamos had a fantastically strong attack, and we did our best against them./
