The U9-U16s Cup Preview Details Empty The U9-U16s Cup Preview Details

The Under 9’s A face Marsden. Marsden are currently mid table in Division E (6th Division) and Wyke are on an unbeaten run in the league. It looks promising for Wyke to qualify for Round 2.

The Under 9’s B face a tough match against Clifton Rangers A. Clifton are currently in Wyke’s A team division, and are 2nd to bottom, but they may prove a tough test for Wyke B who are currently mid table in Division O (2nd Division)

Although the U10’s A, find themselves winless in their division this season, they have to be favourites in their upcoming match v Batley C team, Batley are in Division S, and have only have 1 win out of six.

The U10’s B will play against Hall Green Utd B team in their cup match. Hall Green have been defeated in all 3 league games so far and find themselves low down in their division, however Wyke B have racked up 2 wins out of six, and have a really good chance here.

The U11’s will play Hepworth Utd B, and although, Wyke are in division 1, and Hepworth are in Division 4, there is still a chance that Wyke could struggle. Wyke are currently battling relegation after 4 straight league defeats. In contrast Hepworth B have won all 7 league games, and are top of the league.

The U12’s will face Division 3 leaders Batley in their cup match. Wyke have had great Cup success already after defeating big rivals YMCA in the County Cup last week, and should be favourites to win, as Wyke are currently in division 1, and have had three straight league wins.

The U13’s will face probably the most difficult match against Ossett Town in their 1st round cup tie. Although the two teams are in Division 2, Wyke find themselves mid table whereas Ossett are cruising at the top. Ossett beat Wyke 11-0 two weeks ago, and Wyke will certainly have to work hard to reach round 2.

The U14’s should advance to round 2. Wyke currently have 4 league wins out of 4 in Division 2, and have won both County cup matches. Their opponents Crossland Moor are currently bottom of the 3rd Division with 1 point from 8 games.

U15’s will play Pudsey B, who they are in Division 4 with. Pudsey are lower mid table, whereas Wyke lie in 4th place. It could be a close match, but Wyke will be narrow favourites.

The U16’s v Shelf could prove to be a very tight match. They are both in Division 2, and there is only 1 point separating them. They have yet to play each other in the league, but because they are so close on points, it will be a tight match.
