Under 8’s A & B

Wyke Wanderers A and B teams competed in their respective gala groups at the Albert Morton Pavilion on Sunday and both teams played brilliantly on the hottest day of the year so far.

The A team players; Cameron Balmforth, Connor Barran, Lewis Evans, Owen Khan, Charlie Smith and Danny Ingham finished 4th in their group to qualify for the semi-finals thanks to goals from Owen (2) and Connor but missed out on a place in the final for the second week running with a 2-0 defeat to Rastrick.

The B team players; Jared Muff, Zachary Walsh, Nathan Aylott, Matthew Brumfitt, Daniel Gledhill, Jack Hewitt-Hill and Thomas Capstick finished 5th in their group thanks to goals from Zac (5), Nathan (2) and Matthew. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough to go through to the semi-finals but they all played well.
